These return clients had a dated laundry that needed a revamp. Being a class 2 building, this unit has quite a bit of service and appliance requirements to fit into a small space which posed a difficult design challenge. This laundry houses an accessible large hot water tank, cbus home control system, the electrical distribution board for the whole unit, a sink, tap, two fridges, and of course a washing machine/dryer combination. With all these specific requirements, we had to incorporate and design smart storage solutions that would work in tight spaces. This is where bi-fold and sliding door hardware can really make a positive impact in maximising the ergonomics within the confinements of cabinetry. This six week class 2 laundry renovation was designed and managed all in house by Interspec.
